In terms of his professional qualifications, Mr. Bandawe is the Holder of Master’s Degree
of Business Administration on Corporate Management and Advanced Diploma in Certified
Accountancy (ADCA) from Mzumbe University in Tanzania and has over 30 years working
experience in the social security sector.
Mr Bandawe has a wide range of experience in Social Security Administration, Financing,
Banking and Coordination of Industrialization projects by social security Institutions and
to the Government activities under the Prime Minister’s Office in Tanzania. His experience
ranges from the areas of Academic interest in Finance and Accounting to Leadership,
Management and Strategic Planning.
Has also attended short course training programs, seminars and workshops on Social
Security Administration, Accounting Standards, Debt Collection and Credit Control,
Business Development in Sales and Marketing, Risk Management and Strategic
Management.
In addition to his Acting capacity as the Secretary General of Africa Social Security
Association (ASSA), he is also serving as the Regional Manager of NSSF Tanzania in the
Tanzania Capital City Dodoma and the Secretary General of Tanzania Social Security
Association (TSSA). He worked with PPF Pension Fund and Public Service Social Security
Fund (PSSSF) as Regional Manager, Zonal Manager and Chief Manager in Morogoro
region, Lake Zone in Mwanza region and Dodoma Capital City.
Mr Bandawe has also been serving as the Chief Coordinator of the National Task Force
responsible for shifting the Government of Tanzania from Dar es salaam to it’s Capital
City in Dodoma and the Coordinator for the construction of the Government City
(Magufuli City) in Dodoma performing these roles under the Prime Minister’s Office. Mr.
Bandawe was also a member of the Diplomatic Coordinating Team of SADC activities
within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tanzania.
